He Won't Go Box

This creation was a project that I spent a lot of time on; however, I would say the assembly was the shortest part. I spent weeks doing research and developing a concept based on the song “He Won’t Go” by Adele, and created this box to tell the story she sings. It is a simple design project, but one that speaks to my ability to create and conceptualize.

In “He Won’t Go,” I see Adele singing about a relationship she’s having that is falling apart. Her lover is struggling and she is conflicted whether to help and reach out, or to leave and hopefully drop her worries in her relationship away. She is on the very edge of fracture, and my design shows that in its fragility and inward perspective. I have images with two subjects, but each shows a separation between them, and the single image of a solitary person shows despair and depicts her truly giving up. I used my design to incorporate the way that I see Adele literally as well as how she is feeling.
