Opera Workshop
I was the A2 for this show, mixing the monitors for the stage, conductor, orchestra, drums, keys, bass, and guitar. This was one of the first times we used an A2, and it was very successful in reducing the load on the A1, allowing them an easier job of mixing, and also provided a better experience for the performers to hear themselves optimally. I was working with a bad DSP card, and becuase the card down took care of dynamics processing, the level of the outputs was way too hot and varied from output to output. We attinuated the amps to make up for this, but the unfortunate setback meant that I mixed much of the show without reference to the level of the monitor. Nonetheless, I still managed to put on a good OpShop for the second year running!
